2024 – School Project, Book Layout & 3D Modeling
Overview
Wiener Boy was a book designed around the “autoethnography” and wieners. A lot of wieners. An exploration of unconventional layout and 3D modeling, with a heavy emphasis of taking regular objects and replacing them with wieners. As a book, Wiener Boy explored how I felt about myself and who I was at the time (albeit, unconventionally), while also letting me explore typography and 3D Modeling in ways I have not done prior.
Process
Going forward with the overall “wiener” theming for this project, a majority of story direction was dictated by what imagery could be created with wieners, and then relating those objects with the overall story. Then, the layout of the page would also be dictated by the 3D model on that page. On top of that, there is the unorthodox size of the book, being 12 inches tall and only just under 5 inches wide. While difficult, the end product created a fun and odd book I can claim as my own.
